For more than two decades, the national agency responsible for promoting postsecondary education in France has entrusted me with high-profile English translations: student guides, policy papers, contracts, and profiles of academic degrees and disciplines, many of which can be found on the agency’s website.

Henry Holt published my translation of Lévy's The Empire and the Five Kings in February 2019. My translation of his Genius of Judaism was published by Random House in 2017. Our latest print collaboration, The Will to See, appeared from Yale University Press in October 2021. Since 2011, I have translated hundreds of Lévy’s columns for newspapers and magazines, as well as subtitles and collateral materials for his documentaries.

for other clients

I do occasional translations from French and Spanish for a wide range of clients—international organizations, academic institutions, authors, and media. For example, I translated a lavishly illustrated book on jeweler Frederic Zaavy, pictured above, published in 2020, and a catalog and signage for an exhibition entitled "The Adventures of Truth: Painting and Philosophy" at the Maeght Foundation (2013).
